The event marked the conclusion of Prof. Kuhlmann's 29 years at the institute, during which her work in research and teaching had a significant impact for students, research as well as engineering practice. Once again, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Kuhlmann for her commitment to the Institute and her outstanding contributions to the fields of steel, timber and composite structures.
The event was also the opportunity to welcome Prof. Knobloch to the University of Stuttgart, where he will lead the Institute of Structural Design into the future with new ideas and perspectives.
The lectures reflected on the impressive achievements of the past, but also gave an inspiring outlook into the future, highlighting the upcoming challenges and new opportunities. The evening ended with networking and socialising in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
